When down things have a habit of kicking you in the teeth, well that’s what we got at the weekend.

Time and again decisions went against us, within 10 minutes we were 2-0 nil down. We conceded the first goal when Tolli was beat from distance then exactly one minute later Yaxley were awarded a penalty after Timmy Clack made a great challenge, the official saw it differently and we were two down.

We lost Liam Hynes after a scissor kick tackle left him nursing a very painful shin then we lost Lewis Waldock after another heavy challenge. The fun continued as Tolli was adjudged to have brought down another Yaxley forward when in fact the player dived over him. Again the official pointed at the spot only to be made aware that his assistant was flagging, the assistant had seen the incident and a free kick was given the other way

After the break Yaxley scored again as Lady Luck deserted us, as it was a clear offside but was not given,

Then we scored a Timmy Clack header which gave us a glimmer of hope, that was until Yaxley were awarded their third penalty of the game.

4 - 1 could so easily have been 1 - 1 if just some of the decisions made would just go our way, that said we will keep trying and maybe one day lady luck will be with us rather than against.
