Wootton had the better of the early exchanges in this match going close on several occasions in the early exchanges, kicking into the wind Fords defended well but Wootton were gradually taking control of this fixture.
It was not until the tail end of the first half that Wootton finally managed to open the scoring, the goal came from a free kick which was floated into the Fords box and everybody missed it and it somehow ended up in the back of the net, Fords went into the interval quite happy being a goal behind.
The second half we would have hoped would see us push Wootton back, in fact completely the opposite happened and Wootton grabbed two goals within ten minutes of the second half starting.
At three nil down you would have forgiven the lads for losing interest but they dug in and turned the second half in their favour.
For the last twenty minutes of the match Fords were the better side with Danny Wright skilfully lifting his header over Wootton's advancing keeper to reduce the deficit to two, Fords continued to push but to no avail as a very strong Wootton side were worthy of their three points.
