United breezed through this round of the cup against a spirited Wootton side, with as little as six minutes on the clock Lee Reynolds quick footwork earned him the extra yard he needed to pick out Tommy Waldock who out jumped the Wootton centre back to give United the lead.

Wootton refused to lay down though and were back on level terms when Shaun Allen was caught in no mans land and Micheal Ryan Lifted the ball over his head and into the back of the net, United continued to pile the pressure on and were awarded a penalty when Tom Bland handled in the area. Ady Pestell stepped up and confidently stroked the penalty home to restore United's lead.

United's third came just before the half when Ben Collins and Micheal Parkes combined well to give Tommy Waldock the simplest of tap ins. The second half continued in much the same way as United never looked in trouble, the game was finally put out of Wootton’s reach when Alan Haynes met a Lee Reynolds corner thundered his header into the back of the net, this was closely followed by another bullet header when Lee Roberts converted Be Collins centre.
