Fords at last started a game with all guns firing and took this game to Racing Club, the game swung from end to end with both sides having chances.

At half time the sides were locked at 0 - 0 but the second half was about to come alive, On 50 minutes Jonathan Crockett scored with a trademark header at the far post, Ford’s led for ten minutes until they had a dubious ball to hand penalty given against them when Anthony Powell was adjudged to have handled the ball when it was blasted towards him from eight yards, Mick Haddon made no mistake in converting the penalty.

Worse was to come, with only eight minutes left Roger Leeson was judged to have brought down a Racing Club forward and again a penalty was awarded, this time Leebar Mackune converted the spot kick.

One thing Fords have not lacked is spirit and with four minutes to go Matty Cox latched onto an Ian Waldock through ball and although being pushed wide finished well to send this match to a replay.
