Back to cup action for Fords and normal cup service resumed as they swept aside Stony Stratford in an excellent second half performance.
The game started slow as both teams tried to get a grip on the game, Fords came close on a couple pf occasions and never looked liked conceding.
Then in the 25th minute Fords defence dropped their guard for a split second and were a goal down, it then took until the 46th minute of the first half when Frank Mahers flick was smashed home by Lewis Waldock to level the scores just before half time.
A few choice words in the changing rooms changed the attitude of the players and with 15 minutes of the second half gone Fords were ahead through Tommy Waldock,
Waldock met a low drive from Richard Crockett as Fords began to finally take hold of this cup tie.
With Stony Stratford pinned in their own half, tempers started to fray and the official started to flash his cards, Stony Stratford had their centre back sent off for a second yellow and numerous players were booked as this game turned, that said, Fords persisted and although losing the services of Liam Hynes (Groin) managed to go further ahead when Timmy Clacks cross was again turned into the back of the net by Tom Waldock for his second of the night.
