United crashed to a third successive defeat to end the Christmas period with no points as the Nurserymen rounded off a series of impressive December results with a fifth successive win which saw them climb to third place in the end of year Division One chart.

Tim Mason gave Olney a 65th minute advantage and Jamie Harris added a second from the penalty spot eleven minutes later. United failed to capitalise on their chances and paid the price

United replied with a spot kick of their own, Allan Haynes converting from twelve yards, but it arrived in the last minute and was little consolation.
