What a few weeks we're having with all the rain this match was one of only three premier division matches to go ahead, all credit to the Holbeach ground staff with a job well done on the pitch.
We started really bright in this one going close on several occasions, we finally broke the deadlock when Simeon Nembhard weaved his way past three Holbeach players then fired a 25 yard drive past the Holbeach keeper to give us a deserved lead.
With only minutes of the first half remaining Andy Millard brought down THE Holbeach centre forward and the official had no option but to award the spot kick, Holbeach's Ian Dunn blazed over the bar.
This was definitely a game of two halves as Holbeach came out for the second half and showed their class and experience, a quick fire double from Omar Joof put them ahead and finally Dunn made up for the earlier penalty miss, again two of these goals were our own doing as first a defensive slip then a goalkeeper error allowed Holbeach back into the game but in fairness to Holbeach they were the better side in the second Half.
