Daventry United: Andy Millard, Jerry Moss, Adrian Pestell, Jamie Moss, Duncan Harris, Allan Haynes, Jamie Jollands (Ben Collins), Ryan Waldock (Rob Steele), Tommy Waldock, Tony Burt (Sam Bourne), Joel Young.

Eynesbury: Dean Shipp, Stuart Humphreys, Kirk Kidd, Paul Morris (Dave Goodall), Laurence Revell, Luke Jones, Ricky Taylor, Neil Morris (Adam Turner), Kriss Watters, David Morbin (David Watts), Sam Argyle.

After last weeks hard earned win United were looking to continue their good run against Eynesbury.

Not the best of starts, after only five minutes had passed a mix up between Andy Millard and Ady Pestell seemed to have been dealt with, only for Millard to slice his clearance allowing Eynesbury to regain possession, Jerry Moss then tripped the Eynesbury player in the box and the official could do no other but award the spot kick.

1-0 down after five minutes not the greatest of starts but United bounced back and within a minute of the re-start had been awarded a penalty after Tommy Waldock was brought down in the area, Alan Haynes stepped up, missed the spot kick, it took until just before the break for United to draw level. Eynesbury had only ventured out of their half on two occasion’s in the first half such was United's dominance and it took a freaky goal for United to draw level, Jamie Moss’s cross looped over the keeper and into the back of the net.

This was what United had deserved after a first half of missed chances and the woodwork stopping them from drawing level.

The second half again was one way traffic as the new strike  partnership of Tommy Waldock and Anthony Burt swung into Town with a bang, first some great battling from Ryan Waldock to win the ball in midfield then a pin point pass to put Tommy Waldock through on his own with only the keeper to beat. This time he made no mistake with a clinical finish under the keeper.

From this point on Eynesbury were not in the game as next Jerry Moss burst down the right flank, centred the ball to Joel Young who headed the ball back across the area to Tony Burt, whose bullet header gave the keeper no chance.

Rob Steele came on for Ryan Waldock and immediately made an impact when his header sent Waldock through on his own again. He rounded the defender then curled his shot past the keeper into the net. Minutes later Waldock again left the defence in his wake and delightfully chipped the keeper, but again the crossbar denied him his hat-trick but awarded Tony Burt another headed goal to give United an unassailable lead. The only blip, Eynesbury’s second goal just before half time when everybody except the officials saw the striker push the ball past the advancing Millard with his hands and into the back of the net.

All in all a fantastic team performance with Joel Young putting in another impressive display and Tommy Waldock putting on a man of the match  performance.
