OH HOW REVENGE FOR A PREVIOUS DEFEAT IS SWEET ESPECIALLY IN A LOCAL DERBY, Disaster at the latest possible moment struck United as their Keeper woes got worse. With Andy Millard on the long term injury list and Roger Leeson serving a lengthy ban Fozzy turned to Brackley for the loan of their Under 18’s Keeper, no problem the lad turns up at the club and Just  as we are about to get changed receives a phone call from Roger Ashby telling him to get Halesowen as he was needed for the F.A Trophy tie they were playing in.

One hour before the game and no keeper, no chance of finding one at such late notice, no choice Fozzy had to play himself between the sticks. No problem, after the previous week’s defeat the lads had the riot act thrown at them and boy did it work.

Tony Burt picked up the ball on 16 minutes took two steps towards Towns goal area a smashed a left foot drive past the stranded keeper, not finished at that United knocked the ball around closed down when not in possession and then five minutes later Burt was again put through to double the lead as he slid his shot underneath the advancing keeper, what a start Town were on the back foot and couldn’t cope with this full on assault. Jamie Moss controlled the back four as time and again he snuffed out the threat of Tom Berwick, Ady Pestell countered the aerial presence of Danny Finlay and Ben Collins matched Richard Westley yard for yard. Jamie Jollands marked his return to the starting line up with some piercing runs down the left.

United eased of a little with this lead and on 35 minutes Fozzy was called into action diving low to his left to concede a corner, from the resulting corner Adam Confue rose the highest to pull one back for the visitors, no problem United just went back up the other end and Tommy Waldock's deft chip put the deficit back to two, then on 40 minutes Jamie Jollands forced a free kick on the left picked himself up to deliver a pin point cross for Tony Burt to complete his hat trick with a fine headed finish.

4-1 at half time and cruising, the second half started with both sides fighting for the upper hand, Foster in the United goal was having an inspired performance throwing himself at everything and doing anything he could to clear the ball, this new found hunger from United was growing through the team as they continued to push Town back into their own half, The danger from Tom Berwick showed as he burst down the right a smashed the ball home to reduce the deficit to two again but again United bounced back and again a Jollands centre found Wayne Richardson who directed his header back across the keeper into the net.

This game was over and Josh O’Grady's late goal was to little to late as United had knocked out the cup favourite’s with some of the best football played up at the royal oak in a long time, Tommy Waldock worked relentless again and Jamie Jollands and Lee Roberts were a constant threat down the left, Darran Foster was inspirational in between the sticks driving his team on and dealing with anything that was thrown at him. All round this was the best team performance we have had this season.
