Ford Sports Daventry  2  v  4  S & L Corby

Fords: Anthony Yates, Tim Clack, Steve Thompson, Frank Maher, Rob Steele, Richard Crockett, Paul Currier (Lewis Waldock), Ian Waldock, Tommy Waldock (Sigitas Kazemekas), Jon Crockett, Ben Collins (Reinaldo Soares).

S&L: Richard Lavin, Dave Donativo, Paul Djeneralovic, Martin Donativo, John Mackay, Danny Steed, Dom Johnson, Greig McIlwain, Bobby Drain, Pete Sneddon, Sean Brennan.

Lady luck again eluded us as decisions again went against us, S&L scored their first goal after the referee awarded a free-kick on the edge of our area and Pete Sneddon’s mis-hit free kick wrong footed Anthony Yates.

The second goal came immediately after the first as first of all Johnathan Crockett was unceremoniously hacked down from behind and no free kick was given and as the ball was played through the goal scorer was clearly in an offside position, the two goals were completely against the run of play as Fords had dominated the first half of this game.

With the second half starting the same as the first Fords eventually got their just rewards when Paul Currier smashed the ball home from close range, Ben Collins then conceded a penalty which restored Corby’s lead only for Johnathan Crockett to reduce moments later.

S&L scored a fourth in the last seconds of the game to finally put the game out of Fords reach.
