After the good showings in recent weeks Ford’s were looking take all three points from this game, but with five of the team that faced Wellingborough Town missing and four of those out were defenders it wasn’t the ideal start.

Things improved when on twelve minutes Paul Currier blasted the motormen in front, this was the last joyous moment of the game as far as Fords were concerned.

One nil up and it was as if the goal knocked the stuffing out of them, Corby drew level on 26 minutes through Paul Doherty and then went further ahead when Doherty netted his second just before the half.

Things didn’t improve as Fords defence continued to self destruct.

Goals from Dominic Johnson and Liam Boath finished the game off.
