LEAGUE

BUGBROOKE  0  v  2  DAVENTRY UNITED

Bugbrooke: Steve Spruels, Matt Davenport, Adam Godfrey, Tim Knowles (Dan Boswell), Mike Anker, Jimmy Moore, Dan Brown, Tom O'Brien, Ben Thompson, Martin Misutka, Dave Weedon (Shaun Daly).

Daventry: Shaun Allen, Ben Collins, Leigh Roberts, Ady Pestell, Jamie Moss, Lee Reynolds (Wayne Richardson), Michael Parkes, Ian Waldock, Tommy Waldock, Tony Burt, Joel Young.

United bounced back to form in the league after the disappointing defeat at to Chenecks to run out worthy winners.

It took United 70 minutes to finally find the breakthrough they needed when Micheal Parkes hit a 35 yard thunder bolt past the stranded Bugbrooke keeper. Tony Burt finally put the game out of reach two minutes from time when he finished from close range.

If United had taken a few of their chances early on, this game would have been a lot more comfortable to watch, but they dug deep and finally ground down a stubborn Bugbrooke side.
