Buckingham were all ways going to be a much tougher opponents than last week's fixture at Irchester Unbeaten in five matches, the Robins were on a run.

Before this game they were sitting five places above United, the game started well for United as they pushed Buckingham back into there own half, with Shaun Allen in the United goal having very little to do in the early exchanges.

Olly Stanbridge was in fine form as he dodged two tackles before firing the ball across the face of goal,  Tommy Waldock was agonisingly close to giving United the lead just failing to connect. Both United’s flanks were again proving fruitful as Joel Young's piercing runs down the left troubled the Robins defence but still United could not find that finishing touch. Still without Jamie Moss and Alan Haynes, the United defence never looked in trouble and with Allen in commanding form between the posts, The Robins barely ventured into United's area. The aerial presence of Max-Grant was cancelled out by Duncan Harris and Ady Pestell and anything that came down the flanks, Collins and Roberts were more than capable of dealing with. United were still guilty of giving away free kicks in dangerous positions, but the Robins failed to use any of these to any great effect. United should have made the breakthrough on 35 minutes as Olly Stanbridge was tripped in the area and the Referee awarded the penalty. Tommy Waldock stepped up and saw his spot kick saved.

The second half saw a different attitude from Buckingham as they pushed United onto the back foot, but again the defence stood firm. Allen dominated his area and the four men in front of him gave everything they had. Harris made a crucial clearance over the bar early in the second half which brought United their second wind. Ben Collins was putting in a Man of the Match performance at right back and United started to find little gaps in the Robins defence again. Tony Burt worked tirelessly as Robin's Johnathan Mills never left his side, Tommy Waldock’s electrifying pace was becoming more of a factor as United started to build momentum again. Two substitutions on the 23rd minute mark of the second half saw the introduction of Wayne Richardson and Jamie Jollands for Michael Parkes and Joel Young who again put in another fine performance down the left.

Richardson made an instant impact as he twinkle-toed through the Robins defence and fired the ball across goal, but again it was just out of reach of the incoming players. United continued to press, and with only five minutes remaining, Lee Roberts' slide rule pass set Tommy Waldock through on goal and he made no mistake with the finish to take his league goal scoring tally to nine from six matches.

United deserved their three points but The Robins are certain to cause a few upsets through the season.
