Ford started well against high-flying Blackstones, they started the game with the notorious Royal Oak wind firmly at their backs and on twenty minutes they were ahead when Reuben Max Grant scored his second Ford goal. For almost an hour Ford held onto the lead.
A mistake in defence allowed Blackstones to equalise, as in previous weeks the new found attitude of the Motormen shone through as they pushed Blackstones back into their own half. Ford, however, could not capitalise on the pressure they applied and this game ended up all square. If we were offered a point at the start of this fixture we would have taken it but at the end we were disappointed not to take all three.
Not a bad result seeing that the charming Blackstones manager saw it fit to describe us as a pub side.
