First venture into the premiership for this new look Ford Sports side and on 25 minutes Blackstones went ahead when Richard Thompson surged past his marker and finished well.

Worse was to come as Ross Watson doubled the lead two minutes later , that was the end of the scoring for the first half but worse was to come.

Within seconds of the second half starting Fords were three down when Graeme Epps was left all alone to finish well in the bottom corner.

All was not lost as manager Darran Foster introduced Andy Bennett to the game and he had an immediate effect when he broke through on his own and finished well past a stranded Blackstones Keeper, better still Jonathan Crockett’s half Volley hit the back of the net in the 86th minute to reduce the deficit even further and when Paul Currier went through on his own Fords were nearly celebrating a point but he screwed his effort wide and Blackstones went home with all three points.
